The IAS had a great presence at the North Texas Irish Festival in March. Many members spent countless hours at the booth, selling four baskets for the raffle and bringing in 10 new family or single members. Discussion was lively at times, and all enjoyed the camaraderie. The 32 Irish county flags gave passersby much interest and maybe a desire to search for their roots.
The IAS and the Fionn McCumhaill didn’t let the threat of rain stop them from marching in the 2012 Greenville Ave St Patrick’s Day parade.

Congratulations to IAS member Jackie Nelon on being named the 2012 Irish Person of the Year!! The announcement for this year’s IPOY (Irish Person of the Year) was made at the IAS Christmas Party which was recently held on December 2. IAS members wined and dined while celebrating the Holidays with family and friends. The enjoyable evening was organized by Patti Winston and Patricia Dillingham. Kudos to them for putting on the festive evening!
